Purpose of the meeting
The purpose of the meeting is to seek the public's input on a project to extend Boulders Road from its current terminus near Boulders Court to US-29 at Austin Drive and the project's advancement. The extension would include a roundabout approximately 350 linear feet from the current roadway terminus and 2,000 linear feet of roadway to US-29. The Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) will host this required public hearing, pursuant to §33.2-202. VDOT and Albemarle County representatives will be available to discuss the project and answer questions. The public is invited to review the project information at the public hearing or at Albemarle County Economic Development Office located at 401 McIntire Road in Charlottesville, 434-972-4016. The public is asked to please call ahead to ensure the availability of appropriate personnel to answer your questions. The public is invited to give written or oral comments at the hearing or submit them by January 2, 2025, to Patrick Moore, Virginia Department of Transportation, 1601 Orange Road, Culpeper, VA 22701. The public may also email comments to Patrick.Moore@vdot.virginia.gov. The public is asked to please reference “Rivanna Futures Project” in the subject heading.
