Purpose of the meeting
The DMAS Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee is an interdisciplinary group of healthcare professionals responsible for developing and maintaining the program's preferred drug list (PDL) or common core formulary (CCF). The committee's primary function is to review and evaluate the clinical evidence of drugs to ensure that the medications covered by the program are safe, effective, and cost-efficient. The P&T committee ensures that Medicaid beneficiaries have access to a comprehensive and appropriate range of medications.
