| Purpose of the meeting PURPOSE OF NOTICE: To announce the cancellation of a public hearing on the proposed modification of a permit from the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) that authorizes Synagro Central, LLC to land apply biosolids and water treatment plant residuals in Westmoreland County. REASON FOR CANCELLATION: The permit applicant has withdrawn the permit modification application, therefore there is no permit action for DEQ to act upon at this time. Synagro withdrew the application because delays in the modification process would have resulted in the modification running concurrently with the upcoming permit reissuance. DEQ will announce full public participation opportunities for the permit reissuance as the process progresses, including conducting a public meeting to respond to questions and concerns.
