| Purpose of the meeting Pursuant to 42 CFR §431.408, DMAS is providing a public notice of the intent to submit to the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) a request to extend for five years its Section 1115 Demonstration Waiver titled “Building and Transforming Coverage, Services, and Supports for a Healthier Virginia”. This waiver includes the substance use disorder (SUD) coverage within Institutions of Mental Disease (IMD), the Former Foster Care Youth (FFCY) and the “High Needs Supports” with no changes. The “High Needs Supports” component of this 1115 Demonstration that consisted of housing and employment supports was not implemented as no funding has been allotted however DMAS is requesting to renew this component pending future funding approval. This 1115 demonstration is currently set to expire on December 31, 2024. | |
