| Purpose of the meeting No official business of the Commission on Local Government (CLG) will be conducted/acted upon during this meeting. Pursuant to Chapters 158 and 364 of the 2016 Acts of Assembly, the existing annexation moratorium for city-initiated annexation, county declarations of immunity from annexation, and the formation of new cities was extended until 2024. The CLG was also directed to work on an annexation study that must be submitted to the General Assembly by 12/1/2018. This will be a meeting of the stakeholders that have been assembled as part of this study. | |
