| Purpose of the meeting The Board will conduct a general business meeting to include consideration of comment of the periodic review of regulations, will review requests for extensions/waivers of the continuing education requirement and will consider questions posed to it concerning the dispensing of contact lenses in Virginia and concerning the acceptability of certain electronic medical records systems in the practice of optometry. The Board will also consider their position relative to the acceptability of ethics courses for continuing education credit, and its endorsement of the World Health Organization's "VISION2020 - The Right to Sight" program. Public comment will be received at the beginning of the meeting. | |
