| Purpose of the meeting The Board will meet to discuss how to consider continuing education obtained through other countries for approval. It will also review a listing of Council on Professional Education (COPE) reviewer candidates for Board authorization. The Board will also consider expanding the use of agency subordinates. Further, the Board will be considering adding information to its Frequently Asked Questions webpage information for consumers relating to validating eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions and other consumer-related questions received by the Board office. Additionally, the Board will receive Committee reports; specifically, a report from the Legislative/Regulatory Review Committee related to its periodic review of Chapter 20 of the optometry regulations. The Board will also receive updates on proposed legislation/ regulation and agency performance. Public comment will be received at the beginning of the meeting. | |
