Title Disinfection of Groundwater Sources

Summary This memo clarifies Office of Drinking Water policy and procedures for requiring disinfection treatment at groundwater sources and provides staff guidance in reviewing plans and specifications for issuance of a construction permit. Clarification is provided to avoid potential conflicts with the Ground Water Rule and the current and proposed amendments to disinfection design requirements contained in the Waterworks Regulations.
