emergency stage be extended until 12/31/2011.
Reason for Extension:
DMAS is requesting the Governor’s approval of its request to extend its emergency regulation entitled 2010 Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Changes (12 VAC 30-80) (TH 3265/5511). This emergency regulation is due to expire on June 30, 2011.
This extension is required in order for DMAS to continue enforcing the legislative mandate, as set out in Chapter 874 of the 2010 Acts of Assembly, Item 297 UUU and WWW, concerning modifying the reimbursement methodology for durable medical equipment services and supplies, and limiting the coverage of incontinence supplies.
This emergency extension request was approved by the Governor's office on 12/8/2011.
