My comments are here.
My comments are linked rather than posted here because of the primitive Town Hall software. The Town Hall allows State agencies, the Attorney General, and the Governor to upload documents. We mere citizens, however, must type our comments into a little box.
When I sent them my comments as a pdf, they told me that "We currently cannot post pdfs to the website under comments."
Let's hope they are embarrassed by this incompetence.
The VEA supports these proposed regulations. It is in the best interest of students and schools to collect and track information related to truancy. Early, effective intervention at the school level is crucial to student success, and any efforts to coordinate and systematize these interventions is a positive step.
