My comment is very simple. The point to having laws, rules and regulations is to ensure the safety of the public in all feilds not just one. Thats why the health department is a brance of the government, to ensure that those standards are met. The problem I have seen with the virginia commonwelth is that there 0 enforcement of any rules, laws or regulations! I am a Licensed Body Piercer in the state of Virginia and would like to see a more active involvement from the health department. With no one to enforce the laws and rules in my field then whats the point to paying all the fees and even having a license? If we need to have a license to pierce, then make it worth having it. At the moment its just a peice of paper that holds no value and has no meaning to the people that went through the process of getting one...
