“Remove offensive website from proposed Virginia School Health Guidelines

I urge you to remove the Advocates for Youth website from the proposedVirginia Department of Health Virginia School Health Guidelines for public schools. This offensive website – listed in the document’s “Sexual Health” resources section – promotes abortion, a “Free the Pill” campaign, and numerous other items that so many parents, including me, recognize as extremely harmful to children’s health and well-being. This site is listed as a “resource” in the proposed guidelines, when in reality it promotes the exact opposite of what our youth should be taught. Please remove this highly objectionable, completely unacceptable site from the proposed school health guidelines document

Drop Advocates for Youth from Sexual Health Resource List

I was quite disappointed to see Advocates for Youth as the first resource listed under Sexual Health in the guidelines (p. 335). As their own website confirms, this is a pro-abortion group (i.e., they think killing babies before birth is a valid option to addressing social concerns). There is no way that Virginia should be holding them out as a recommended resource. Please remove them from the guidelines. Thank you!

Remove highly inappropriate sexual material from school

It is highly inappropriate for schools to promote abortion to young adolescents. Children should not be encouraged to engage in sexual behavior and certainly should not be encouraged to eagerly end a life.

Lowering Standards

Instead of upholding principles and expecting the best, why do we continue to lower expectations and promote what is ultimately not going to help any of us succeed.  None of this promotes good health for anyone. Why do we refuse to let children be children and lead them down paths that are not beneficial? Most of us grew up not being subjected to any of this, our innocence was protected, and were allowed to enjoy our childhoods until we had the maturity to understand these matters.  Why do children now not have the same right?  Please remove these offensive materials.  We all have a duty to do what is best for children, not what is politically expedient.

Remove offensive website from proposed Virginia School Health Guidelines”

“I urge you to remove the Advocates for Youth website from the proposedVirginia Department of Health Virginia School Health Guidelines for public schools. Please remove this highly objectionable, completely unacceptable site from the proposed school health guidelines document.”

Regarding information/websites proposed for VA School Health Guidelines

To Whom it may Concern:  The Advocates for Youth website proposed for inclusion within Virginia Department of Health Virginia School Health Guidelines for public schools should not be included, endorsed, promulgated, or made available to youth/students of the Commonwealth. The website and material is not only offensive it should not be considered an appropriate resource (though listed in the document’s “Sexual Health” resources section).  It promotes abortion, a “Free the Pill” campaign, and numerous other items that so many parents, including me, recognize as not only extremely harmful to children’s health and well-being, it IS MY RESPONISBILTY (not the government's) to educate and form my children about. This site is listed as a “resource” in the proposed guidelines, when in reality it is propaganda and misinformation which promotes the exact opposite of what our youth should be taught. Remove this highly objectionable, completely unacceptable site from the proposed school health guidelines document.
