I would like to join the chorus of voices in strong opposition to this initiative (and the proposed CRT curriculum). There is absolutely no need for the public schools to thrust themselves into the realm of shaping children socially, emotionally, and morally, which is the exclusive domain of parents. How dare you assume you are better qualified to perform this task? If you want to impose these programs on your own children, feel free, but Virginia public schools need to focus on academics, pure and simple. Basic academics, and get rid of all the tangential courses that purport to "enrich" the academic program. If parents want to expose their children so such opportunities, that is their decision. Further, it is not something with which we taxpayers should be burdened.
