This is not something the BOE should even be involved in or promoting. This is not fair for parents who do not agree that an adolescent should be making these kinds of decisions. This is something that should be up to parents to educate their children on and not learning at school. Provide the transgender kids their own bathroom facilities. The last thing that needs to happen is a 15 year old boy who just decides they are a girl in a whim to go into the girls room and have the accessibility to rape a young girl. Just because a child says they feel like they are the opposite sex one day doesn’t mean they should access to that sex’s bathroom. Kids and teens question their sexuality all the time and change their minds. They need significant therapy before an accommodation like that is made for them!
