The title of this document is "Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students
in Virginia’s Public Schools" and is 26 pages long. A one page document could be written to say transgender students should be treated just like everyone else. This document uses 26 pages to create new terms and rules to be used as a stick to beat anyone with the view that remotely opposes anything transgender. You must believe you can choose your own gender and change depending on how you feel at any given time. This document even suggests the school as a judge between students and their parents. "In the situation when parents or guardians of a minor student (under 18 years of age) do not
agree with the student’s request to adopt a new name and pronouns, school divisions will need to determine whether to respect the student’s request, abide by the parent’s wishes" why would the school even want to be put themselves in this situation? The schools job is to teach children working together with parents. Not a single thing in the 26 pages makes that job easier for schools or parents. I believe transgender is a not a problem to be solved in school. What someone chooses to do after they are 18 is there choice. Before 18 it's parents choice how to raise their children.
