The Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia's Public Schools are clearly unconstitutional, both in regards to student and staff Free Speech and Religious Freedom rights.
Citing and punishing students for "harassment" for "the intentional and persistent use of names and pronouns not consistent with [transgender] identity" is a violation of a student's Free Speech rights.
Demanding that "a school staff member agrees to abide by and uphold their school board's policies and procedures" regarding the use of pronoun names found objectionable due to religious conscience violates Article VI of the federal Constitution that specifies that "no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States."
