I agree that our children need a school environment that ensures the safety, security and a conducive learning environment for All children. But these troubling policies proposed by VDOE are totally unworkable and will force all students, faculty and administrators to comply with views of sex and gender, that might directly conflict with their own fundamental beliefs and understanding. They will also infringe on the rights of a potentially much larger group of students, faculty and parents than the group they believe they are trying to protect. It’s seems more like an agenda or ideology is being pushed, rather than thoughtful, measured policy in the best interest of the entire school community The VDOE went way, way too far and needs to scrap this entirely and go back to the drawing board, that is if the current policies are not effective - and I am not sure that they are not.
