Critical legal purposes require all Va Live-Ins to be identified upon intake by DMAS' agencies
Live-In providers live with the person receiving care either in the care recipient's home or the care providers home. Live-In providers are identified upon intake by the fiscal agents, because they receive IRS titled "Difficulty of Care" payments and can work over 40 hours a week.
DMAS and the MCOs has contracted with have 3 fiscal agencies (payroll) that they contract with. Those three agencies are PPL (Public Partnerships, LLC) and CDCN-VA (Consumer Direct Care Network of Virginia), and ACES$. . When Live-Ins providers are initially hired they must complete intake/onboarding documents which clearly identifies them as they are treated very different then providers who do not live in. Live-Ins are clearly identified upon start of work by the fiscal agents contracted by DMAS and the MCOs. Live-Ins are also identified by the IRS, Virginia Dept. of Taxation, Virginia Employment Commission, and DMAS' contracted service facilitators that visit the home at least monthly.
