For a disabled person to have a normal life, they need to be able to function at an adequate level, and they need a certain amount of work and difficulty of life handled for them. Consumer Directed Programs allow them to live their lives their way just like the rest of us. I have watched this system change and evolve to help those with disabilities, but EVV is just a sell out by our state government against it's less able citizens. The one good thing the state ever did was giving the disabled some power over their lives. All EVV has done is put duress on everyone involved, ruined all useful components of the Consumer Directed program, and must have surely cost VA, the taxpayer, and the disabled community enough time and money already to prove this experiment has failed.
