Sirs,
The restriction of firearms in public buildings, wherein no need has been demonstrated in a State, with no record of firearm offenses by legal permit holders, seems to me a waste of time and effort and a sop to the gun control groups that help ONLY to fund the campaigns of this governor by "outsiders" such as Ex-Mayor Bloomberg of New York and Mr. George Soros, a once indicted World War Two Criminal and charged by Hungary.
We, gentlemen, are a State with a history of both open and hidden carry for those of us who have demonstrated a life free of felony infractions and are productive members of society. Compare us to those felons, forgiven en mass by this same governor, who have demonstrated a real history of harm to others, who are having their rights restored by our governor in complete disregard to the safety of the people of Virginia, as these same felons will also have their rights restored to carry firearms, even though many were charged with felony possession for firearms.
Denying the rights of those of us without any blame and giving rights to those who have a history of hurting us is totally nonsensical.
I suggest that Governor McAuliffe's wrong headed decision on a prohibition in State buildings be reversed, AND, that his wholesale of over 10,000 felons, already known to be clear and present dangers, be reversed as well.
