The proposed measure is unwarranted and does more to jeopardize individuals visiting executive branch agency buildings. To date, there have been zero active shooter incidents at Virginia executive branch agency buildings. Concealed permit holders undergo rigorous background checks and should not be deprived of their right to keep and bear arms for self defense purposes at the whim of a governor whose sole intent is to restrict the lawful possession of firearms in the Commonwealth. For that reason, I strongly oppose this measure.
