I OPPOSE the proposed regulation banning concealed firearms in executive branch agency offices

I OPPOSE the proposed regulation banning concealed firearms in executive branch agency offices.

  • The proposed regulation would recklessly disarm individuals who otherwise possess the legal right to carry a concealed firearm.
  • The proposed regulation does not contribute to the public safety, but instead places the public at the increased risk of violence, particularly mass shootings in which a killer relies upon a disarmed citizenry in order to wage his or her violence.
  • The proposed regulation exceeds the power of the governor to regulate a citizen's legal rights absent due process or consent of the legislature.
