The two unit cap can become very problematic due to the nature of our job. We are told to expect the unexpected. A client could need to seek hospital treatment for heighten symptoms and that could mean sitting with them for hours while waiting for intake. I have experienced emergency situations with clients that have taken well over 5 hours. For example a client had a stroke and I was with them, I assisted them in seeking emergency medical attention and stayed until they had been seen by medical staff. It is not possible in this line of work that we can be limited to a two unit cap. There is too much unpredictability in this line of work to put limits on our time frame. Please reconsider this 2 unit cap. It makes no sense to have these limits in our line of work.
