Whatever the excuse or fear, the proposed regulations are the sort that every Libertarian or conservative Republican  would find objectionable interference with personal liberty. Whatever the excuse, the regulations are written to deny common medical  services to a specific minority within the community.  It is mindboggling that educated people are even discussing interferring with an individual's highly emotional and very personal decision.
