I strongly support the Board of Health's decision to amend the current regulations on women's health centers.  The regulations were simply another step of a polically powerful religious minority to harrass women and women's health clinics.   These restrictions are not medically necessary for patients' safety.  These regulations jeopardize women's health by making it more difficult for women to access safe and legal abortion, along with the other health care services these centers provide.  We need more, not less, women's health clinics.  The board's decision to amend the current regulations will send a strong message that Virginia will no longer tolerate the religious bias of a minority to interfer with the medical needs of the entire community.
