The Virginia Board of Health recognizes that the current regulations on women's health clinics have nothing to do with patient care or safety. When women's health clinics must close, women (and men) lose access to affordable health care services. Women's healthcare centers overwhelmingly provide preventive and diagnostic services for women and birth control services for women and men. Legal abortion is a small minority of the service they provide but abortion opponents would deny women access to healthcare services because of their ideological disagreement with abortion, which is legal. Support reason and keep access to women's healthcare open. Women's lives depend on good healthcare.
