I strongly urge the Board of Health to amend currently medically unnecessary TRAP regulations in favor of regulations based on medicine and health care for patients, and not based on politically motivated actions. Risking the closing health care facilities because they lack a certain number of parking places, their corridors aren't of a certain width, etc. is short-sighted and damaging to women's ability to obtain health care. These and similar restrictions bear no relationship to patient care (which we should all be concerned about), but are simply a callous means of closing centers that, in particular, provide reproductive health care to women in the Commonwealth. The women of Virginia deserve better, and we expect fair treatment!
