I think it is very unfair to disenfracnhise someone for lack of having a valid, current driver's license,  If one has a driver's license with a picture ID, that should be sufficent to show that that person's identity has been vetted by a responsible state agency.  I find it especially egregious that this would disproportionately affect the enderly, who are less likely to have a current driver's license.
