I actually think that students at VMRCVM are well prepared when entering the work force.  I also think it is a priviledge how much students already get to do for the sake of learning in their 4th year.  Experience is important but so is the quality of medicine.  I would prefer that we maintain the high standards that are already present in veterinary medicine and restrict major procedures to trained fourth year students.
