As a patient, I will be making sure to do my due diligence if this legislation passes to actively avoid dentists that employ unlicensed, unregulated, unaccredited and un credentialed scaling assistants/foreign-trained dentists.  

I will make sure that the healthcare provider that I receive my hands-on direct clinical care from is a licensed and credentialed registered dental hygienist from an accredited institution. as a patient I deserve quality healthcare. I do not deserve to be neglected and mistreated by dentists who are looking to pinch pennies, and therefore adding more work to their already overburdened dental assistants. 

the direction of consumerism from lobbyists, and our government in regard to our healthcare, which includes dentistry is terrifying. There will continue to be entification of our healthcare services and the providers that are entrusted with our treatment and care if we continually allow our government, corporations and their lobbyists to push for these stripped regulations, these neglectful standards of care and dangerous practices. 

Registered Dental Hygienists are the Gold Standard of care. Full stop.
