I oppose athletic trainers doing dry needling because compared to our 4+ years of training, they have not enough training to do dry needling which is a repackaged name for acupuncture. There is a much higher incidence of injury from dry needling due to lack of knowledge and expertise, which reflects very poorly and unfairly on highly trained acupuncturists. I am moving to Virginia from California in 2 months and I find this very alarming for my profession.
