CCC is a redundancy to licensure and requires SLPs to pay at minimum an extra $221-$250 per year, on top of state licensure fees. The CCC is a product by a non-profit organization that makes millions every year by having states require purchase of this product. CCC does not ensure competency, but instead shows you completed a supervision period, which is required regardless for licensure. Virginia needs to remove this unnecessary requirement.
