Remove CCC requirements from SLPs

ASHA is fraud. They have used the dues they collect in order to lobby against their own members making states think they are required for us to do our jobs. We do not need to be members of ASHA to provide quality intervention. They do not lobby for us to have manageable caseloads or provide us with any education to make us better clinicians. Look at our allied professionals (occupational therapy and physical therapy) who have similar organizations who have not misled states into thinking they are required for licensure. Did you know if you let your membership expire you have to redo your clinical fellowship in order to rejoin?? Our predominately female profession is required to continue paying your dues to them each year even if you take some time away from the profession (say to raise your family) if you don’t want to have to start back like you are a new graduate student. ASHA has tricked everyone and it’s time to release your clinicians from the chokehold they have over us. The quality of care will not change.
