I'm writing to ask the Board of Health to re-think the proposed permanent health centers regulations. These regulations are medically unnecessary and are prohibitively expensive for many women's health clinics. As a result, they will decrease women's access to affordable health care - particularly those women who need the most help affording medical attention, such as low-income women, minority women, and those who are uninsured. These clinics provide necessary services, such as cancer-screenings and testing/treatment for STD's.
