Kratom is no more addictive than Coffee or Soda.  Cessation of Kratom results in a loss of appetite for less than 6 hours.  Thats the only down side.

Alternatively, kratom has allowed me to function for the last 5 years without any narcotics like vicodin or codeine.  I am able to travel the world and stop taking kratom the day before vacation without missing work.  Kratom has a unique characteristic where its effects no longer increase past a "ceiling dose"  so 1 dose has the same effects as 2, 3, 4 or 5 doses taken at the same time.  This greatly limits its potential for abuse.  Kratom is also an excellent mood stabalizer with thousands of times less consequences than traditional anti-depressants.

If you make Kratom illegal you are a band of fools.  I recommend voting to ban alcohol in your county long before you ban kratom.
