KEEP KRATOM LEGAL!

I'm 34 years old. In 2015, I got rear-ended by a vehicle that was traveling at a high rate of speed. Since then, I have had horrible back pain that greatly reduced my quality of life. I have multiple spinal injuries now that cause me to wake up at night in pain and unable to do things that I love, including kayaking, biking, working out, and working in general. The pain killers helped, but the doctors wouldn't continue to prescribe them to me because they are "addictive". My pain management came to a hault and all the other pills prescribed didn't help. A friend told me to try kratom for my back pain and I've been using it as needed since 2016. It has greatly impacted my quality of life and I can sleep throughout the night, and do those things I love doing without having to stop from the pain. Banning kratom is banning my last treatment option I have to be a productive member of society. I don't only speak this on behalf of myself, but for all the people that use kratom as a part of their own treatment plan. Veterans that fought for our freedom, law enforcement that put their lives on the line for the publics safety, truck drivers, older people with chronic pain and young people that lost hope for a better today. We speak out for the majority because we found something that's natural and helps us live better lives with less pain. Banning kratom is not the way to go. At most, there should be an age restriction on the sale of kratom, and that is it.
