8VAC20-781-40, Section A-16 reads "Stock epinephrine. Such policies and shall meet the requirements of 22.1-289.059 of the Code of Virginia". - I feel this is too broad and contradicts the medical administration regulations. Would we need written permission from every parent to be able to administer stock epinephrine if we felt their child was having anaphylactic response? Would there be a requirement for how many epi-pens we must have on-site for various weight ranges based on the census per classroom? Where would we be getting these epi-pens from and how will this be funded?
