Please support all legislation and work being done to stop the wholesale slaughter of Menhaden. This fish is not only the basis of the food chain in the ocean but its absence is responsible for excessive silting and mud from dead algae that was formerly filtered from the bays and estuaries by these fish. Their importance in our ocean ecosystem must not be underestimated.
