Purse Seine in VA state waters

The mounting scientific and anecdotal evidence continues to fall upon deaf ears of regulators, most of whom express destain for the public they’re charged with service. The industrial reduction fishing boats have giant nets that scrape the bottom and rip up the grass along with everything that lives in it, our Osprey, Eagle, and striper populations have collapsed, Audubon is bringing action because of Osprey failure. Look at the maps of spotter planes and factory boats at Menhaden - Little Fish, Big Deal! On FaceBook. We invite you to see what we see…to understand our concerns.
I implore you to take action. The system intended to protect our bay and state waters has failed at every turn. These giant ships with their giant boats need to move outside the official line of state waters. Why will no one protect our preciousChesapeake and native wildlife? The mother company is foreign owned. Much of what is caught is Ground up and pelletized to feed their farm raised fish across the globe. Wrong, just wrong.
