I am a concerned parent and caregiver and oppose the plan to shift parents who are paid caregivers away from Consumer Directed to become an employee of an agency.  I have a 13-year-old son with a genetic mutation that causes low muscle tone, global developmental delays and a severe movement disorder. He requires full assistance with all of his daily living skills. Being able to be a care provider for him allows me to take care of him rather than having to bring in an outside attendant he is not familiar with. As parents, we know our children the best and know their needs. Please continue to support this program so that we can support our children!
