Climate is not fixed, it changes naturally over timespans of decades and centuries. For the last 300 years we have been emerging from a cold period aptly known as the Little Ice Age. While there may have been some slight human-induced warming in the last few decades, the world would have warmed naturally in this time period regardless of anything we humans may have done or are currently doing.

Anthropogenic (human-caused) climate change is not a science, it is a religion. The dire warnings of floods, droughts, famines and all the other catastrophes with which the mainstream media pound us daily are eerily reminiscent of the biblical plagues and disasters that were preached from the pulpit in days gone by.

The foretaste of Hell that the old-style religions preached were really for the purpose of keeping the peasantry in check. Today's climate change litany of future disasters are for much the same purpose. As H.L.Mencken wrote a humdred years ago, “The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary”
