Please Get Virginia out of the RGGI!

I totally oppose Virginia's participation in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI).  As a former resident of the New York county with the second highest utilities rates in the country, it is disheartening to see this wonderful state with a very affordable cost of living being damaged needlessly. The taxes associated with the RGGI are already raising rates with absolutely no benefit to residents.   The carbon tax alone has cost our utilities more than $500 million in just two years with another $300 million in wasteful energy taxes this year. These costs get passed on to us!  There is nowhere in the world where "renewable energy" sources have been implemented where they have adequately replaced carbon based fuels, but they have been outstanding in making energy prices higher and creating shortages in available heat, air conditioning and electricity One need look no further than the current energy crisis unfolding in Europe.  This will be our fate if we remain in the RGGI.
