Once again, government gives us further proof that it cannot be trusted, either to serve us as taxpayers, or to employ facts for its decision-making and policy creation. The entire RGGI CO2 allowances/carbon cap operation is based on an imaginary problem, since a.) CO2 is not a danger to earth, and b.) there is no climate emergency. Anyone with the capacity to evaluate scientific evidence who takes the required time to examine the data sets (not the cries of alarm) can find these things out. RGGI depends on the continued existence, operation, maintenance, and development of fossil and nuclear energy—which are made more costly and complex by RGGI design.

So RGGI rules are designed to impose taxes to fix a non-existent problem. In sum, RGGI is a plan to enlarge government profits at our expense and gain further control over our lives and life necessities. It is even more disturbing to reflect that the CO2 reductions envisioned by RGGI, would have little or no measurable effect on earth temperature. RGGI is a complete disservice to the lives and hard work of citizens, to utilities, our environment, our need to trust, and to our children’s future. Do not participate.
