I am pleased to see that Gov. Youngkin has decided to move forward with the process to exit the RGGI and hope that he will succeed in doing so. While there is a false belief that RGGI and all forms of cap and trade will be better for the environment, in truth they are only bad for the consumer. The RGGI is nothing more than a new tax meant to fund pet projects that do not help working Virginians. I agree we must do more to help our environment and be "greener" but new taxes help no one.
