I want to please urge you to impose stricter penalties on pet stores who fail to comply with state guidelines. There are so many sick, abused dogs and cats in pet stores who do not have a licensed veterinarian caring for them. A small fine is not the deterrent that’s warranted. Every single life, whether it be a human or animal, is worthy of love and care and respect. That includes these animals being sold in pet stores (which is another issue for another time). Please consider making harsher penalties for these stores who seem to not care about the life and wellbeing of the pets they sell.
