standards of care

In this day and age I don’t understand why we are still needing to have these conversations. When you walk into a pet store and see German Shepherd pups drinking out of a rabbit water bottle that is through a hole in the wall and are told that “that is ok” there is no way that dog is able to get adequate water. There are so many dogs inside plexiglass cages they can’t get any real space to move around. I have seen fecal matter splattered that had clearly dried up but they can say “oh it just happened” and thats ok. There have been dogs who are so sick you can see the shallow breathing, but they can just tell someone that they have a vet appointment later this week and that too is okay, with no follow up.
