I am adding my voice to the call for stronger regulations regarding animal welfare for animals in pet stores. 

I believe pet stores should no longer be allowed to sell animals and should be required to partner with animal rescues to help with the pet over population but if that is not going to happen just yet they should be held to the same standards of care that Virginia animal shelters are required to provide.

They should be inspected at least as often as those same shelters if not more often.
