Proposed amendment to Virginia State Forest Regulation 4VAC10-30-170, allow concealed

I am a retired military person who resides in VA.  I have spent time enjoying our State Forests and hope to continue enjoying our resources well into the future.  I am also an avid hunter and outdoors person.  My family and I are in support of the state and I buy the sportsman hunting and fishing license to support our resources.  Additionally, I am a concealed weapons permit holder in our great state of VA.  I have held concealed weapons license/permits in TX,AZ,ME, and VA.  I have never understood the banning of concealed weapons in our State Forest.  The folks who posses concealed weapons are responsible law abiding citizens.  I support the the amendment to allow concealed weapons in our State Forests.  Unfortunately, we have all seen the stories where other citizens who prey on weaker, defenseless persons prowl our State Forests.  There is always a threat of rabid animals as well.

Please support the amendment to allow, properly licensed/permit persons to carry their concealed weapons with them in our State Parks.  There is NO THREAT from your law abiding citizens.

THANK YOU

Very Respectfully

J. Antonio Sumabat
