Action | Amend Requirements for Carrying Handguns in State Forests |

I support the proposed amendment to Virginia State Forest Regulation 4VAC10-30-170, which would allow concealed carry permit holders who possess a valid permit to carry a concealed handgun for self-defense within Virginia's state forests. Allowing law-abiding citizens to carry concealed handguns in state forests will enhance personal security without creating additional problems or safety problems. Virginians should have the same right to self-defense in Virginia forests that they have on the streets of cities and towns all over this Commonwealth.
