In regards to Virginia State Forest Regulation 4VAC10-30-170, which would allow concealed carry permit holders who possess a valid permit to carry a concealed handgun for self-defense within Virginia’s state forests, I would support this and ask that you do the same. There is no reasonable argument that can object to someone having the means to defend themselves in secluded rural areas that by their very definition are typically removed from safety and support systems that a more urban area would have.
